Another finished hook type of jouhouse project located in Cibubur is designed in a modern tropical concept of architecture and interior. However, the main idea was to create a more stylish and compact visual of design that translate the client’s needs and wild ideas even in a limited site rather than the common modern tropical concept that is usually represented in a more massive and luxurious type of design.
As maintaining our concern in an efficient, minimalist and healthy design is still our priority while designing the house, open space concept with a lot of openings that builds a fine connection between the indoor and green outdoor area and well-circulated natural air and light came off a great idea that translates all the briefs.
The order of our nature-enthusiastic client is want to have a spacious garden within the house. Moreover, the hook site location, benefiting of gaining more greenery area around the house. The open plan 1st floor sits next to the inner courtyard, which becomes the house's main spectacle, giving the whole area acces toward the garden visually and physically.
We keep exploring the whole design to be as simple as possible, be it massing, color tone, opening, or layout to give the highlight to the “SPECIAL ELEMENT’’
One of the focal element of the facade is the special bricks work that works not only for visual but also a treatment to cover the main building’s privacy without leaving it’s function as the entrance for natural air flow. A good coverage for semi or private areas such as inner court and service area. A well circulation of natural air and light in the inner court impacts most of the rooms to become healthier and more lively.
Our “SPECIAL ELEMENT” is these aggregation of palimanan flagstone that becomes the envelope of this house inside out.
We want to bring the natural material that is conceived as an exterior element to the inside so that we blur between the inside and the outside. We want the user to see these assembly as the first thing when arrive and as the last thing when leave.
The interior is filled with abundant natural lights which come from large openings applied around the house, In hope of a healthier living and more efficient electrical usage in daytime. Quite contrast with the first floor, the second floor is dominated with white colors which is also aligned with it’s exterior tone. Supported with slick cold natural stone flooring, It creates the best atmosphere for doing activities in daytime and taking a restful recharge at night time.
Establish fine connection between indoor and outdoor area by using as many natural elements as possible in both area. Openings also play a crucial role in optimizing the idea of bringing outside inside or vice versa.
The openings are also optimized in the bathrooms, even the skylights are created as a large premium cloud and star gazing window that can be used while taking bath. The natural stones are even applied to their walls as well, Bringing a totally different atmosphere for the second floor as designated private area.
