Located in Depok, MJ house brings out uniqueness and strong character out of a so called common house in Indonesia. May this house inspire people with similar houses who are looking for a new look with simple and a bit industrial style
MJ house has a common concept of indonesian’s houses (usually called BTN house) which consists of 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom only. As the household consists of 2 daughters, we tried to balance the mood of masculine and feminine for the design, industrial on the outside and softer texture and colors on the inside
The work of the back yard becomes one of the main priority in the house because our client want to create a “mini jungle” that could become main attraction that liven up the living room atmosphere.

As the kitchen and dining area are put beside the back yard in a semi-outdoor concept, the living room becomes spacier and gets a better view to the back yard. This layout is aligned with the main value we wanted to add to the house which is focusing on a good natural air and light circulation.
